“This Could Have Been an E-Mail”: Sutherland Global on Innovative Ways to Engage Employees
“This could have been an e-mail.” We’ve all seen the meme where employees lament that the contents of a meeting could have been summed up in an e-mail. Sutherland Global noticed that their associates weren’t attending meetings and decided to get creative. Sutherland Global’s Senior Project Manager, Charlene Petrie and Associate Project Manager, Alex Pratt, discuss how they’ve found a way to make sharing important news and updates with their employees more engaging—through a podcast. It’s all in this episode of Masters of Support.
Charlene specializes in implementing Playvox, a Sutherland partner in gamification, engagement and performance management, across several verticals and global teams. With over 20,000 users and 70+ cross-geography implementations under her belt over the past 8 years, Charlene is the Subject Matter Expert on not only all things Playvox, but best practices, development, and the partnership with the vendor.
Alexandra has been in leadership roles for 12 years, the last 8 years she has been at Sutherland as the team manager for Petco’s social media moderation and community engagement. She is now an Associate Project Manager on the Global Community Management team with the mission to scale the success of her management experience to assist Sutherland leaders with improving communication and process for their team with Playvox. As a former team manager who used Playvox, she comes into this role with best practices and solutions for how this robust tool can advance team performance and engagement in both remote and on-site environments.
